Inpatient Drug Treatment: Why An Intervention Specialist Can Help

Inpatient Drug Treatment: An Intervention Specialist Can Help You Get There

If you have someone in your life that needs inpatient drug treatment there are a lot of different approaches you can take but if none of them are working then it’s time to consult a professional. A drug addict doesn’t always look like a rail thin human being who has needle marks in their arms and is living on the street. Sometimes a drug addict looks like a guy on Wall Street with a wife and kids and a full time job. It’s not until something happens like they lose their job or get caught trying to take drugs on an airplane that their drug problem is even brought out into the open.

If you’ve tried talking to them one on one about quitting and it hasn’t worked or other family and friends have tried talking to them too then it might be time to consult an intervention specialist. The problem is functioning drug users don’t think they have a problem and they are much harder to get through to. They’ve all had people in their life tell them they need to get it together and quit but it’s not until they hit a rock bottom sometime that they are willing to give it up.

Outpatient Rehab: When You Still Have A lot Of Work To Do

Recovering addicts go to outpatient rehab all the time post inpatient rehab. A lot of times an addict doesn’t have the luxury of going to a ninety day rehab but they really need that kind of attention and support when it comes to their addiction. So what they’ll do is do a thirty day rehab stay and then do outpatient rehab where they either go every day for an hour or so or three days a week or once a week just to check in and keep themselves honest with their addiction.
